What to expect, start to finish.
How we get started, what happens each day or week, what I need from you, how payment works and what happens after launch.
From hello to booked.
Do I have to get on a call?
No. Reports and hourly work can start over email. For websites, a short call saves us both time and makes the brief better.
How soon can you start?
I work on a small number of projects at a time, so start dates book up. Send the form and I’ll tell you my next opening.
What if I’m not sure which service I need?
Choose “Not sure yet” on the form. I’ll look at your site and tell you what I’d do first, and why.
What happens, and when.
5-day website
- Before day 1Content in
You send your branding, words and photos, and choose your template.
- Days 1–3I build
I style the template with your branding and add your content to every page.
- Day 4You review
You see the full draft and send one round of changes.
- Day 5Launch
I make your edits, connect your domain and launch. Your video tutorials follow.
Custom website
- Before week 1Brief & content
We agree the brief, and you send your text, photos and branding.
- Week 1Research & design
Keyword and AI prompt research shapes the pages. I design the look and structure.
- Week 2Build
I build every page with SEO and AI search set up as I go, and share progress.
- Week 3Review, refine, launch
You review the full site, I refine it, test every page on every screen, then launch.
SEO & AI search
- Days 1–3Where you stand
I check what Google and AI tools show for you today, and record it.
- Week 1Research
Keywords your clients search and the questions they ask AI tools.
- Week 2The work
I update your pages, structured data, Google Business Profile and listings, and share each change.
- EndBefore & after
A short summary of what changed and where you stand now, in plain English.
Reports take 3–5 days (site health) or about 1 week (competitor intelligence), and end with a 30-minute walkthrough call.
Your part, made simple.
For a website
- Your logo, colors and fonts, if you have them
- The words for each page, or add copywriting and I’ll write them
- Photos of you, your space and your work, or I’ll suggest stock photos
- Access to your Squarespace account and domain
- Quick feedback when I send the draft
For SEO & AI search
- Access to your website as a contributor
- Access to your Google Business Profile and Search Console, if you have them
- Your main services, locations and who your best clients are
- Any competitors you already watch
When does my timeline start?
Once I have your content and access. That’s why the brief comes first: you know exactly what to send before your dates begin.
What if my content runs late?
Tell me as soon as you know. We’ll pick new dates that work for both of us.
You’ll always know what’s next.
Communication
- Email for everything, with replies within one business day
- Your brief and any copy in a shared Google Doc you can comment on
- Progress shared as I go, not only at the end
Reviews & changes
- 5-day website: one round of revisions after you see the full draft
- Custom website: you review the full site and I refine it before launch
- Small layout tweaks are fine; bigger changes or extra pages get a quote first
Confirm first, then invoice. No surprises.
Do you offer payment plans?
Ask on our call. If you need a different schedule, I’ll do my best to work with you.
What does Squarespace cost on top?
Squarespace bills you directly for your website plan and domain. I’ll recommend the plan that fits, so you don’t pay for features you won’t use.
It’s yours, and you’re not on your own.
You own it
- Your site lives in your own Squarespace account, under your name
- Everything on it is yours
You can run it
- Video tutorials made for your site
- 2 weeks of support for questions after launch
Want more help?
- Monthly blog content to keep growing on Google and in AI answers
- Hourly updates at $150 an hour, estimated up front
More about the process
Why Squarespace?
It’s easy to update yourself, it handles hosting and security for you, it looks good on every screen and it has solid SEO tools built in. You don’t need a developer to change a photo or add a page.
Do I own my website?
Yes. Your site lives in your own Squarespace account, under your name. You pay Squarespace directly for your plan and domain, and everything on the site is yours.
How can a custom website take only 3 weeks?
I block out time for one project at a time, and the 3 weeks start once I have your content. The brief we agree on up front means I’m not waiting on decisions halfway through.
Can you redesign the website I already have?
Yes. If you’re on Squarespace, I can rebuild on your existing account. If you’re on another platform, I move your content over to a new Squarespace site and set up redirects so you keep the Google rankings you’ve earned.
Why 5 days?
It gives you time to review a full draft and me time to make your edits properly, without the project dragging on for weeks. The 5 days start once I have your content.
What makes you different from other web designers?
I come from digital strategy and analytics, not only design. I’ve spent 10+ years managing digital marketing and analytics, including leading SEO, GEO and performance marketing for Fortune 500 brands.
So every website starts with strategy: who your clients are, what they search on Google and ask AI tools, and what makes them book. I design around that, build in SEO and AI search, and set up analytics so you can see the calls, bookings and inquiries your website brings in, and what to improve next.
